Jason Hudson


Jason Hudson is currently serving as the Assistant Chief of Career Services 

Jason started his FIRE/EMS career as a volunteer with Dagsboro VFC, and continued on to volunteer with the Bethany Beach VFC, Millville VFC, and Blades VFC. Over the years, Jason has held the positions of Fire Lieutenant, Fire Captain, EMS Lieutenant, Chief Engineer, and is the Current Fire Chief of Blades. In 2009, Jason obtained his NREMT and began working fulltime as a FF/EMT.

In working for numerous companies as an NREMT, Jason comes with a vast range of experience. In his time as a FF/EMT, Jason has received multiple recognitions for his work. Including, Phoenix awards for being a EMS provider on Cardiac Arrest with the patients successful revival, Heroic Fire Fighter of The Year (2008) from the Delaware State Fire Chiefs Association, Medal Of Merit (2008) from Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company, EMT of The Year from Sussex County Volunteer Ambulance Association (2013), EMT Of the Year Medic 108, from Sussex County Paramedics (2013), and EMT of The Year Medic 107 from Sussex County Paramedics (2016).

Jason has completed Delaware State Fire School classes through Fire Officer 2, EMT FTO, and numerous Continuing Education classes. May 2016 Jason was hired as the EMS Supervisor of Seaford Volunteer Fire Department and manages the EMS division handling over 4000 EMS runs a year. Jason oversees the daily operations of the career staff. In 2019 he was promoted to Captain and in 2021 promoted to Assistant Chief.
