Job Title:  Full-Time FF/EMT

Job Description:  Employee will be responsible for staffing basic life support units on a daily basis, providing emergency medical care and transportation. Employee will also be expected to staff the fire apparatus as needed. Employee must display proficiency in emergency medical evaluations and firefighting skills.  Responsibilities will also include custodial duties, routine checks on equipment and tools, light vehicle maintenance as well as fire prevention, administrative functions and logistical support as needed.  Employees must show initiative at promoting the team concept and be able to perform duties as expected

Hours of Work:  Work schedule is a 24/72 HR rotation (24 HRS on 72 HRS off, shift hours are 0600-0600)

Minimum Qualifications, Candidate MUST met:
 Non-member of Seaford Volunteer Fire Department.
 High school graduate or GED equivalent.
 Must be at least 18 years of age.
 Able to lift 150 pounds with partner.
 Criminal Background Check. (Current- within 30 days of submission)(Not needed if work for a Fire Department currently)
 Hold a valid Delaware Non-CDL Class B Drivers License or greater. (Submit Full Driving Record)
 Hold a valid Delaware Emergency Vehicle Operator License.
 Hold a current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR/AED, NREMT-B, Delaware EMTB certification.
 Hold Basic Firefighting Skills, Structural Firefighting Skills, HazMat Response Skills, and Vehicle Rescue. **Preferred training of Driver Operator, and EMT FTO**
(Delaware State Fire School or equivalent.)

 


Salary:  $15.00 an hour
