On March 27, 2012, 3 members of the SVFD, Vice President Doug Butler, 2nd Assistant Chief Brad Taylor and Ambulance Captain Calvin Yelverton left for an inspection trip to the Horton factory in Columbus OH.  After completing a detailed inspection of the unit we found only minimal problems.  The crew returned the following day to inspect the touch up and were very pleased with the entire outcome.  Currently the ambulance is at the Fesco dealership in Elkridge, MD to have lettering and bracket mounting completed.  The expected pick up date is Monday Apr. 9th and the new unit should be in service shortly thereafter.
