September 23, 2010 - Class on the importance and understanding of the Dangers of CO and Firefighter Rehab. Also will include training on use of new Rad-57's and a minimum of 2 hours Con-Ed for EMT's. Class is MANDITORY for any EMT in order to use the Rad-57. Class is also Manditory for ALL Employees.

It's that time of the year to get your bat and gloves and get on the ball field. The 30th Annual Seaford Volunteer Fire Department Crozer-Chester/Camp Barns Burn Camp Benefit Softball Tournament will be held on August 27-29. All fire companies are welcome!
The cost to enter the tournament is $315.00 per team. Payment is due by July 19th, 2010. A team roster signed by the CHIEF or PRESIDENT must be turned in with the registration form. We are asking that all players have at least basic firefighter......

August 18, 2010 - Members of the department participated in an in house training night. Training was Hydrant Evolution. Firefighters also did a timed competition of getting into full gear ready to enter a building, and backboard evolution.

July 6, 2010 - Station 87 was dispatched for a wash down as the result of a MVC with no injuries. Upon arrival on scene Engine 87-5's crew put down stay dry to secure a small fluid leak from one of the vehicles. Shortly after arrival situation was placed under control and units were placed available.

July 2, 2010 - Station 87 responded to an Automatic Alarm at a doctors office. Upon arrival on scene 87-18 (Brad Taylor) established 87 Command and A-87 staged in the parking lot. Command was advised of possible fire in one of the x-ray rooms. Upon arrival on scene Engine 87-5 investigated and put out the fire that was contained to a small area. Situation was placed under control and Ambulance A-87 was diverted to a medical emergency at another location.

May 22, 2010 - Trinity Trucking hosted a "Touch a Truck" day and invited various organizations to bring equipment for young kids to see and explore. Seaford took three trucks and opened them for everyone to look in, and invited them to climb into the apparatus. The members also handed out fire prevention materials to the young kids.
